The fouling scraper simply is attached to the end of the ramrod with male thread, no adapter is required and does not have to be packed for the weekend. A practical tool for reenactors.
 
After brushing out the bore, this is a good tool to scrape lose the fouling buildup on the face of the breech plug and then pour it out of the barrel.
