Brass ramrod shaped like originals for the Springfield Model 1842 smoothbore for competition barrels or any other barrel. 42 1/4" long. Two parts of ramrod are held together with threaded steel shank (screw) and loctite. They are not pressed together! Brass is a softer metal than steel and is gentler on the inside of a barrel and the muzzle.
